Cinematography and typography

Have you ever though about what makes a film or film name most memorable to you?

One thing that is very important in the creation of horror films or just any film in general is the poster and especially, the title. The title is the first thing you look at, the first thing that you read. A title for a film needs to me memorable. The title sequence as soon as the lights go down need to catch the audiences eye.

A title can tell you a lot of things about the film. It can give you an idea of what period it is set in, it can give you an idea of what type of genre the film will be, the colour schemes and more. You would know the period it is set in because of the font that is used:

SERIF or SAN SERIF

Serif: a type of font that looks very traditional, has lots of curly ends. Looks an older style

San serif: Without all of the curly ends and extra bits. Looks more plain and modern.

There are lots of famous title sequences that catch peoples eyes

For example: Casino royale
