Preliminary Task- feedback sheets

Here are some photos of the feedback sheets we received from our class mates about our interview. I really liked receiving feedback this way, I think that because they are friends you know they will be honest and there was also some really good constructive criticism being given which was helpful. It is nice to get different opinions and points of views on your work so you get a good range of ideas.

I think after reading these, the main thing I need to get a grasp of is premiere pro so I can up the standard of my editing. In future I would like to include transitions between the shots so the whole filming looks less jumpy. I would like to learn how to add music in the background of the filming, to add a different feel to it and also make it less just talking. On the note of just making it less about just someone talking, me and Will tried to figure out how to add pictures in-between shots (cutaways) to make it more personal, for example in the interview edit we just made it would've been great to add pictures of Katie and her twin throughout however in the time we had we didn't manage to learn how. So in future I would like to look into that a bit more. In our interview edit there was also a mistake where we forgot to cut out a bit where Mr. Armstrong was giving us feedback I need to make sure not to do that again, to do that I will make sure I give it lots of final watches to make sure I'm not missing anything. Another thing which people made a note of was how they felt about the black green screen, they said it was almost too dark for the topic Katie was speaking about. So next time I would like to find a more fitting background yet still keeping it not too complicated and quite realistic. It is clear that the interview itself wasn't overall bad however it just came down to the little mistakes that were made in the final edit, I would soon like to upload a blog of me practicing some editing to get better.

I will take these comments that were given and use then when it comes to making our final piece of coursework, the documentary.
