Music for my Documentary

 

This is the website that I'm using to decide which music I should put over my documentary. During the speaking parts such as me in the introduction or the whole of Lottie's interview, I definitely feel as though I should have some background music. However I don't want the music to be too repetitive and overpowering over the voices during my documentary. An important part of music when editing is to try to get it to match what is going on during the shot and for it to not be too irritating for the listeners.

Part of my documentary includes videos of me and my friend dancing. The music for these shots has proven a little bit more difficult to find due to the fact that as a dancer I know what type of music fits with the dance so finding one that I am happy with is a little bit frustrating.

The type of music I have been looking for is slow and relaxing, yet not too emotional. The aim of my documentary is to show people the exciting and joyful side to the arts and music is a very simple way to allow things to become uplifting.
